A leading commercial vehicle supplier is looking for an experienced Head of Van Fleet Sales to take charge of its growing fleet sales division. This is a strategic leadership role, offering the opportunity to drive commercial success, develop key client relationships, and shape the future of van fleet sales.
The Opportunity
This role involves full ownership of the Fleet Sales Department, leading a high-performing team, negotiating large-scale fleet deals, and managing key accounts. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving sales growth, securing new business, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Sales Leadership – Oversee and expand the fleet sales division, ensuring sales and profitability targets are achieved.
- Negotiating Large-Scale Deals – Secure high-value fleet contracts, delivering maximum value for both clients and the business.
- Key Account Management – Strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- New Business Development – Identify and acquire new fleet customers through market research, networking, and strategic outreach.
- Knowledge of Large UK Fleet Operators – Develop and maintain relationships with major UK fleet operators, leveraging industry insights to drive sales.
- Stock & Pipeline Management – Ensure availability of suitable vehicles for fleet customers while maintaining efficient stock levels.
- Collaboration & Compliance – Work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and manufacturers while ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in fleet van sales, key account management, or B2B automotive sales.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing and managing high-value fleet deals.
- Existing knowledge and relationships within the UK fleet market, particularly with large fleet operators.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing sales team.
- Comprehensive understanding of the fleet and commercial vehicle market, including emerging trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
